We are currently looking for Welders / Metal Fabricators and Mechanical Engineers who have genuine interest and passion for the heavy vehicle industry. Welders / Fabricators : To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a Cert III in Engineering / Fabrication and have at least 5 years experience in both Welding and Tacking. You must also : Have the ability to read workshop drawings Show leadership skills and the ability to work as a team member Follow instructions given by coordinator Be reliable and honest Have an understanding of Lean manufacturing Be able to fit into a clean, tidy and motivated workshop environment Mechanical Engineers - To be considered for this role, you will need to have a relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification and 2-3 years work experience You will also need to have : Ability to visualize concepts and generate 3D CAD models from 2D sketches. CREO CAD software knowledge will be a distinct advantage but training will be provided for aspiring candidate. Knowledge of Australian standards for design and drafting. - Understanding of sheet metal fabrication principles and drawings is a key requirement. Knowledge of FEA would be a big plus Team playing skills and willingness to co-operate with others is a must for this position. Candidate with right mindset will be provided opportunities for personal and professional growth. Knowledge of lean techniques will be looked upon favourably. Enthusiasm to work in heavy vehicle industry. Attention to detail and willingness to take responsibility is crucial for success. Excellent language proficiency is required for communication. These are full time positions working Monday to Friday with the occasional Saturday required. Remuneration packages of $76,515 will be offered to the successful candidate.
