Our client is a leading provider of concrete products to the Civil construction industry and major infrastructure. A great opportunity has become available for an experienced Health and Safety Officer to join their team at their largest manufacturing site, located in Cowra. Reporting into the HSEQ Manager, you will be a pro-active boots on the ground, detail orientated Safety Officer, overseeing all safety operations for the Cowra manufacturing site. Position details: Initiate, develop & manage WHS initiatives Conduct regular safety inspections, risk assessments, incident reports and investigations Ensure compliance in line with legislation and company policies and procedures Maintain accurate safety records and reports Develop and deliver training and guidance to all staff on safety procedures What you need to have: A minimum qualification of a Certificate 4 in WHS 2 years experience in a safety role, ideally in manufacturing Excellent understanding of WHS legislation and risk management Excellent communication skills, verbal and written Intermediate level of computer literacy Excellent attention to detail Some state and interstate travel is required in this role You will be required to complete a pre- employment medical and police check This is a fantastic opportunity to join a supportive and collaborative team of professionals.
