We are currently seeking a driven and experienced Sales Manager to join their team in Winnellie, Darwin. This is a full time role and will involve working 38 hours per week. Required Skills & Experience: Proven ability to sell effectively and deliver strong sales results - must be a confident, persuasive communicator with genuine enthusiasm for customer engagement. Experience managing or leading a sales or retail team, including coaching, mentoring, and performance tracking. Ability to train new staff in sales processes, negotiation, and customer handling techniques. Strong understanding of vehicle buying and selling processes, including sourcing stock is preferred but not mandatory Capacity to manage car yard operations, including inventory control, ordering parts, and ensuring compliance with inspection and roadworthy standards. Analytical and reporting skills - ability to prepare sales reports, track performance metrics, and forecast inventory needs. Knowledge of pricing strategies, marketing promotions, and customer service practices relevant to the automotive industry. Attention to detail with strong organisational skills and ability to maintain accurate documentation and inspection records. Basic mechanical knowledge or ability to liaise effectively with workshop technicians and understand vehicle condition reports. No specific background in car sales is required - we welcome candidates with strong general sales ability and leadership potential who can adapt to the automotive sector. Must have at least a Bachelor Degree or 5 years' of related experience if no related degree Key Responsibilities: Collaborate with senior leadership to design and roll out marketing, advertising, and sales strategies that align with company goals. Lead the creation and execution of product launches, promotional campaigns, and brand initiatives. Oversee sales operations, including defining product ranges, managing territories, and maintaining high customer service standards. Coordinate merchandising activities, distribution networks, and the performance of sales representatives and external partners. Establish pricing structures, sales processes, and credit terms to optimise revenue and market performance.
