About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Practice Manager/Nurse to join a well-established general practice on Brisbane's northside. In this dual role, you'll oversee the day-to-day operations of the clinic while providing hands-on nursing care to patients. This position combines leadership, business management, and clinical practice, ideal for a nurse ready to step into a leadership position within a collaborative, community-focused environment. Alternatively, we are also considering applications from a Part-time Practice Nurse (28 hours per week) who is passionate about patient care and looking for a supportive and flexible workplace. Key Responsibilities As Practice Manager: Lead risk management and quality improvement initiatives Oversee recruitment, staff development, and performance management Ensure compliance with all legislative and accreditation standards (RACGP) Manage financial reporting, rostering, and budgets Foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous improvement As Practice Nurse: Provide clinical care including immunisations, wound management, ECGs, and pathology collection Conduct health assessments, care plans, and chronic disease management Maintain high standards of infection control and equipment sterilisation Support preventative health and patient education initiatives Ensure adherence to clinical governance, WHS, and quality standards Skills and Experience Essential Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse Proven experience in general practice or primary healthcare Strong leadership, organisation, and communication skills Sound knowledge of RACGP accreditation and compliance standards Ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy clinical environment Desirable Previous experience in a dual Practice Manager/Nurse role Familiarity with medical software (e.g., Best Practice, Medical Director, or similar) Business management or leadership qualifications Benefits Competitive remuneration package based on experience Option for full-time or part-time (28 hours per week) Supportive management and positive team environment Opportunities for leadership and professional development Convenient northside Brisbane location with free parking About the Practice This is a respected, long-standing general practice committed to delivering comprehensive, patient-centred healthcare to the local community.
