We are seeking a motivated Mechanical Engineering Draftsperson to join our growing team and support our engineers and project managers in delivering high-quality mechanical systems across various sites. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed technical drawings, plans, and layouts for HVAC and mechanical projects under the guidance of senior engineers. Support engineers and technologists in designing and optimising air conditioning, refrigeration, and ventilation systems. Identify and prepare appropriate tools, materials, and equipment for fabrication, assembly, and installation works. Participate in assembling, installing, and modifying mechanical systems such as ductwork, plant equipment, and hydraulic or control systems. Calculate and provide estimates for required materials, equipment, and labour. Carry out site-based and workshop testing to assess system performance and efficiency. Gather and interpret data, perform engineering calculations, and prepare technical documentation and schematics. Coordinate inspection schedules and oversee maintenance routines for mechanical plant and equipment. Verify that all design and installation work complies with regulatory standards, project specifications, and quality requirements. Qualifications and Experience Minimum of a relevant Diploma or higher qualification in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline. Demonstrated experience in HVAC, refrigeration, or mechanical system design, installation, or maintenance. Strong understanding of mechanical drawings, schematics, and technical standards. Proven ability to work effectively in a project-based environment, supporting engineers and trades personnel. Excellent problem-solving, organisational, and documentation skills.
