Scope and Authority The Software Integration and Technology Consultant is a technical role within Software Service. A person in this role is technically capable and is able to configure the Marel software platform, programming tasks related to reports, scripts or integration to other systems, as well as analyze and fix technical issues. A person in this role understands food processing and is able to review technical requirements and deliver a Marel Software configuration based on standard solutions. The Software Integration and Technology Consultant leads the configuration and deployment of Innova in level 1 and 2 project implementation teams. This role also delivers on-site technical services and remote sup-port for customers. Main Tasks The main objective of this role is to deliver Software services and projects to Marel’s customer Technical configuration and deployment of Marel Software in level 1 and 2 projects according to documented specification Participate in specification workshops with customers and handles technical conversations with customers IT teams Document technical specifications for customer systems Support review processes. Reviews and validates requirements in order to avoid issues Provide Level 2 support to complex technical issues, internally as well as for customers Provide user training for customers and internal training for Marel employees Provide input for Marel Software development processes and support O-series delivery as part of the development process Create knowledge base articles both for new configurations and for solving known issues. Provide on-site delivery of services to customers for running Marel Software systems, including add-ons, modifications, maintenance and upgrades Provide services to fulfil scheduled Service Level Agreement tasks Skills and Abilities Excellent computer skills Ability to document and explain technical specification Ability to build interfaces between Marel Software and 3rd party or embedded software Ability to train others Good people skills and able to work well within a team Plus would be if you are an Expert at configuring and deploying Marel Software or similar software Education, Knowledge, and Experience Bachelor or master's degree in information technology (depending on the course and further experience) Knowledge on more than below languages, Java, (C++, V would be a plus). Technology knowledge of Multi-threading, mutexes, STL templates Database knowledge of MSSQL Understanding of: XML, XSLT and XSD Ability to troubleshoot and solve complex technical problems Ability to apply software testing methods, tools, and techniques Understanding and experience of principles and processes for providing customer service.
