About Us Court Services Victoria provides corporate services and facilities to support the performance of the judicial, quasi-judicial and administrative functions of Victoria's courts and tribunal, Judicial College and Judicial Commission. CCV The County Court of Victoria is established pursuant to the County Court Act 1958. It has original and appellate jurisdiction and is the principal trial court in the State of Victoria. The Court hears over 12,000 criminal, common law, and commercial cases each year. The County Court has unlimited monetary jurisdiction in common law and commercial matters. In its criminal jurisdiction, the Court hears all indictable offences except treason, murder, and related offences. There are a total of 80 Judges of the Court and over 300 staff, including judicial support staff. The County Court regularly conducts circuit sittings at 12 circuit courts situated in major centres throughout regional Victoria. About the Role The Senior Process Excellence Lead's key function is to develop solutions that delivers process improvement initiatives that optimise the efficient flow of cases in Court Operations. The role works across the IT systems, Data and Analytics function and Court Operations, providing the link between process improvements in Court operations and changes to the Court's IT systems. Duties: Lead and coordinate the redesign and updating of processes, manuals, documentation and systems across Court Operations. Collaborate with Court Operations managers and staff, judges and judicial registrars to understand current systems of work and creatively consider how systems can be changed and improvements initiated. Engage with various functions within the IT Systems, Data and Analytics teams to inform and facilitate changes in processes and IT systems and assist with the design of reports and data analysis. Design change processes to align with changes in legislation. Work collaboratively with relevant functions from Court Services Victoria, stakeholders, partners and vendors to identify solutions and facilitate change and process improvements. About You To be successful in this role, you will bring: Experience working in the Victorian courts system and an understanding of the Court's IT operating systems would be an advantage. Strong written skills with the ability to prepare project briefs, reports, service plans, and policy options and recommendations on complex issues. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills using insight to build common understanding with groups and individuals and address difficult or sensitive topics. Ability to apply organisational frameworks to plan, guide and monitor complex projects and the work of the area in order to meet long-term objectives. Good systems skills with the ability to use knowledge to design efficient systems and anticipate and address issues arising.
