About the Opportunity: Bluewave by KB Seafood Co currently has an exciting opportunity for a Trader for our Seafood product range based at our office in Perth, WA. About the Role: This role is responsible for driving sales, market penetration, and account performance of our seafood across Western Australia. This includes sourcing and trading products, negotiating pricing and supply terms, maintaining strong relationships with existing and new suppliers and customers to achieve sales growth and profitability targets. This role requires a blend of customer-centric sales capability and strong analytical and reporting skills, with a deep understanding of the seafood, FMCG, or chilled/frozen food sector. Responsibilities: Develop and manage trading activities across a portfolio of food service customers and suppliers. Source, negotiate, and procure products to meet customer demand and quality expectations. Achieve sales, margin, and volume targets as agreed with management. Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and pricing to identify new trading opportunities. Identify new business opportunities across foodservice and wholesale channels. Conduct customer reviews using sales and margin data to support upselling and cross-selling opportunities. Drive business growth by developing a network of contacts to attract new clients, research new market opportunities and oversee growth projects, making sales projections and forecasting revenue, in line with projected income. Attend industry events to build relationships with key prospects including and not limited to Food distributors and Key end users. Representing and demonstrating Brands/Products at Tradeshows and events Prepare sales presentations, Communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders. Requirements: Must have strong experience in a Sales role in FMCG or Food Service industry. Strong working knowledge of the Australian and imported seafood market, food distribution networks, and cold chain logistics. Strong understanding of food safety, HACCP, cold chain, and product handling. Ability to work autonomously. High level of computer literacy including Microsoft Office suite. High level of communication skills both verbal and written. Excellent analytical, problem solving and organisational skills. Strong presentation and negotiation skills.
