Faith FM is seeking a full-time Platform Engineering Lead to help advance our mission of sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ across Australia. You’ll play a vital part in amplifying Faith FM’s presence across Australia by keeping us on the air and connected to our audience. Skills And Experiences To be successful in this role, we are looking for a practicing and committed member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church who has an active relationship with Jesus Christ and a deep desire for worship and service to God. In addition to your commitment to our mission, you should possess the following: Proven ability to design and integrate off-the-shelf (OTS), SaaS, and custom systems, balancing cost, complexity, performance, and missional goals. Experienced in maintaining and enhancing production codebases across Laravel/PHP, Vue.js, Node.js/Express, Python, and MySQL. Skilled in designing and delivering high-quality features. Hands-on expertise in DevOps and cloud Management including CI/CD, Docker, LEMP stacks, and AWS (EC2, S3, IAM, networking, Athena). Strong focus on performance, cost-efficiency, and disaster recovery. Proficient in Linux command-line operations, SSH security, reverse tunnels, and automation using Python/Bash. Experience in observability and incident response tools. Applies best practices in security, and privacy-aware data handling. Capable of managing development, DevOps, and technical operations which includes communicating clearly, mentoring others, coordinating with vendors, and supporting planning and budgeting. Embraces a growth mindset, leveraging AI tools and emerging tech to improve quality, efficiency, and maintainability. Understands SDA organisational policies (AUC & SPD), holds a current driver’s license, and meets requirements for Working with Children Check and Adsafe compliance.
