Description The Role: Carey Baptist Grammar School is seeking a dynamic Mathematics and STEM Specialist to help shape the next generation of curious thinkers and problem solvers. In this role, you’ll create learning experiences that spark imagination and deepen understanding through hands-on exploration in maths, science, and technology. Working closely with classroom teachers, you’ll weave STEM principles across the curriculum, empowering students to connect their learning to the world around them. Collaborate with teachers to create interdisciplinary and inquiry-based learning opportunities. Use data and assessment to personalise learning and support student growth. Integrate sustainability, digital technologies, and real-world applications into STEM learning. Foster curiosity, creativity, and student agency through hands-on projects and design thinking. The Person: To be successful in this position, you will have: Expertise in Mathematics and STEM education within the Victorian Curriculum 2.0. Strong understanding of inquiry-based and differentiated learning approaches. Proficiency in digital technologies to enhance learning and engagement. Excellent communication, organisational, and collaboration skills. Commitment to fostering curiosity, innovation, and a love of learning in young students. A valid Victorian Institute Teaching (VIT) registration is a requirement of employment in this position.
