Benefits on offer: Salary of $96,712.00pa super for a Registered Nurse Salary of $87,116.00pa super for an Enrolled Nurse Accommodation Allowance of $7,800.00 per annum pro rata Annual Airfare of $1,683.00 (after 12 months of service) Relocation Allowance of up to $5,000.00 As the Connected Beginnings Nurse you will play a crucial role in integrating early childhood health and family support services within Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities in the Kimberley. Your position aims to ensure children are healthy and ready for school while promoting a culturally safe environment in all interactions. As a vital member of the team, you will collaborate with various health professionals and community organisations, including World Vision Australia, to deliver quality care and health education tailored to the needs of families in the community. Your Key Responsibilities will include: Provide culturally appropriate child and maternal health care services to ensure optimal health outcomes for children. Establish effective communication channels with families and the broader community to encourage attendance at health services. Participate in the development and delivery of early childhood health promotion programs focusing on prevention and early intervention. Advocate for families' needs, ensuring culturally safe interactions and continuity of care. Assist clients with transport to appointments and maintain accurate records of client interactions. Support case management for child and family health needs, including immunisation follow-ups and referrals. To be successful in this role you will possess a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture and community dynamics, along with the skills to foster respectful relationships with families and healthcare professionals. You will also have: Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse or Enrolled Nurse. Knowledge of primary health care principles and child development milestones. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and delivering culturally safe practises. Willingness to travel and provide outreach services as required.
