APS4 Branch Support Officer, Workplace Relations Non-ongoing until 30th June 2026 Canberra preferred (Adelaide or NSW considered) Proven experience in Human Resources Key Responsibilities Provide administrative and coordination support to the Human Resources (HR) function, particularly within the Workplace Relations (WR) and Performance team. Manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment, including shared mailbox and calendar management. Handle confidential employee relations and performance information with professionalism, sensitivity, and sound judgment. Maintain and update spreadsheets and case files for WR and performance matters to support reporting and knowledge sharing. Draft and review HR correspondence, including meeting minutes, case summaries, and responses to employee and manager enquiries. Build positive working relationships with staff, managers, and HR colleagues to support a fair and consistent workplace culture. Act as the first point of contact for general HR and WR enquiries, including phone and email communication. Remain composed and solution-focused when managing sensitive or challenging employee situations. Ensure HR records and case documentation are accurately maintained and compliant with policy and legislative requirements. Assist with information gathering and preparation of materials for complex WR matters or investigations. Key Capabilities Demonstrated experience in Human Resources operations, with exposure to workplace relations, performance management, or employee casework. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines. Collaborative and proactive approach to supporting colleagues and contributing to a positive HR team culture. Confident in engaging respectfully and appropriately with employees, managers, and stakeholders. Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities.
