About the role The Manager Business Intelligence is responsible for leading a team of technical specialists to maintain, enhance and support a range of data, analytics, ETL, business intelligence and reporting platforms, products and services. The role is responsible for ensuring the platforms, products and service are delivered to agreed service levels and performing well, while remaining current and secure. Underpinning this is the requirement to establish and maintain policies, principles and pattern, extending when required. The manager will provide technical leadership and direction to development squads and support teams to ensure that changes do not impact the availability, performance or security of the platform, products and services. The manager supports, coaches and mentors the team of technical specialists while balancing resources across development and support activities. Responsibilities also include lifecycle management activities, continuous improvement initiatives and support. This role requires strong stakeholder management and collaboration with IT stakeholders and delivery partners to ensure operational and strategic needs are met. What we’re looking for Significant experience in a similar role including substantial IT systems management and industry experience Experience recognising and exploiting business opportunities provided by integration and monitoring technologies to deliver strategically aligned solutions to business priorities. Demonstrated experience leading high performing teams Previous experience mentoring and coaching team members through all stages of career and personal development. Highly developed interpersonal and verbal communication skills Strong customer focus and ability to understand issues, manage expectations, gain agreement, resolve conflicts and translate technical information into business language as well as excellent influencing and negotiation skills, and the ability to adapt these to a diverse range of stakeholders and contexts. Significant IT Systems management including: Extensive experience in application support and lifecycle management and software development lifecycle methodologies, tools and systems, including but not limited to: ITIL, DevOps, Agile, Scrum, Continuous Delivery and/or Rapid Application Development. Extensive experience with different data, analytics, ETL, business intelligence and reporting technologies and products, such as SAS, Splunk, Qlik Sense, Power BI, Tableau, Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Data Bricks, Informatics, DataStage, AWS Glue, Qlik Replicate Influence real change.
