AWS Architect – Contract Opportunity Remote (Australia-based) | Contract | Australian Citizens & Permanent Residents only We’re seeking an experienced AWS Architect to join a leading organisation on a contract basis. This role offers the flexibility of working remotely while contributing to enterprise-scale cloud initiatives across Australia. What you’ll do Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-effective AWS solutions Collaborate with stakeholders to align cloud architecture with business goals Provide technical leadership and best practice guidance across projects Support migration, optimisation, and automation initiatives within AWS environments What we’re looking for Proven experience as an AWS Solutions Architect (AWS certification highly regarded) Strong knowledge across core AWS services: EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, CloudFormation, CloudWatch, IAM Expertise in cloud security, identity management, and compliance frameworks Hands-on experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation Familiarity with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines (e.g. CodePipeline, Jenkins, GitHub Actions) Strong background in networking, load balancing, and high availability design Experience with containerisation and orchestration (ECS, EKS, Docker, Kubernetes) Knowledge of cost optimisation strategies and AWS Well-Architected Framework Ability to lead cloud migration projects and modernisation initiatives Excellent stakeholder engagement, documentation, and solution design skills Must be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident Why join?
