About the Position Our large site at Herons Creek comprises both a Saw Mill and Dry Mill and is staffed with a welcoming and social team. We are seeking an energetic and self-motivated Maintenance Planner looking for a new challenge to coordinate and plan maintenance activities, including condition monitoring programs, minimise equipment downtime and support production objectives on a permanent full-time basis. Reporting into the Site Manager, You will be responsible for the planning and scheduling of maintenance work to ensure equipment and machinery is maintained to high standards of reliability, safety and operational readiness. You will develop detailed maintenance plans and will promote a strong safety culture, ensuring compliance with environmental and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include but not limited to: Oversee the planning & execution of mechanical maintenance activities to ensure equipment reliability & availability and corrective actions from condition monitoring program, vibration and oil analysis and thermology. Develop and maintain short- and long-term maintenance schedules for both electrical and mechanical trades. Coordinating & supervising maintenance teams, operations, and contractors to execute planned work. Schedule and coordinate maintenance activities to minimise equipment downtime and support production schedules, ensuring the availability of critical spare parts. Proactively identify, assess and control foreseeable hazards related to maintenance operations and with support from the Site Manager, implement corrective actions when elimination is not possible. Ensure all work history and technical information is updated in MEX as the central source of information, which will be used to develop and maintain workflow. Work with vendors to get quotes and order parts required for work planned and stage parts for work in the plan so the trades have all the equipment necessary. The successful applicants will have: Substantial experience within a maintenance role in the manufacturing industry A proven track record of successful maintenance planning. A Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade is essential. Previous experience in MEX Maintenance Software (or similar) is highly advantageous Knowledge of continuous process industry (heavy machinery, manufacturing) Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
