You will assist the Rail Safety Advisors(s), Rail Safety Manager(s), Senior Rail Safety Manager-Operations, Rail Safety Director, and construction teams in identifying, assessing, evaluating, and controlling rail safety risks. This role is considered a Rail Safety Worker. This role will be based Full Time at our Elizabeth Drive Office and along the alignment as required (St Marys to Bradfield). Responsibilities : Provide expert rail safety risk management advice and assistance to the Rail Safety and Construction Teams Facilitate risk management audits including monitoring of evidence and closing out actions. Maintain a calendar of Rail Safety Risk assessment workshops for the project, site and rail safety interfaces. Advise and assist Line Managers and subcontractors in the project Policies and Procedures. Establish and maintain strong positive relations with the construction teams to ensure engagement and support the identification and management of risk on the project. Provide and update rail safety risk inputs to the Project Level 1 risk register. Ensure that all statutory rail safety risk requirements are complied with. Facilitate rail safety risk reviews to identify trends, risks and promote communication and awareness of the key risks. Establishing rail safety risk mitigations and monitor their implementation, effectiveness and follow-up. Produce rail safety risk reports as required in a timely manner to support the effective communication of risk status. Maintain records and documents in accordance with SSTOM requirements. Maintain productive relationships with the government representatives and other key stakeholders. Criteria: Tertiary qualification in safety, rail or another related field Risk management qualification preferred. RIW Card (desirable) Rail Safety Worker medical (Category three minimum or able to obtain and maintain) White Card First aid and CPR (preferable) What’s next?
