We are seeking a qualified and motivated Electrician to join our Building Engineering & Maintenance Services team at Redcliffe Hospital. This role is responsible for providing safe, reliable, and efficient electrical services to ensure the ongoing delivery and maintenance of critical facilities. About the Role As an Electrician in our team, you will play a key role in: Delivering planned, corrective, and reactive maintenance across a wide range of electrical systems. Performing testing, diagnostics, and repairs on systems including switchboards, UPS, lighting, RCDs, emergency lighting, security and access control, BMS systems, nurse call, generators, solar systems, auto doors, and medical/associated plant and equipment. Supporting minor new works, upgrades, and installations as required. Ensuring compliance with WHS standards, electrical regulations, and organisational policies at all times. Completing accurate records, service reports, and timesheets using our Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Working collaboratively with apprentices, trade assistants, and contractors to ensure quality outcomes. Participating in on-call and after-hours rosters to support 24/7 service delivery. About You To be successful, you will demonstrate: A current Electrical Fitter Mechanic Licence. Strong technical knowledge across commercial or healthcare facility systems. Proven ability to diagnose faults, prioritise tasks, and deliver high-quality outcomes under minimal supervision. Excellent communication and teamwork skills with a commitment to safety and quality. A current QLD driver’s licence. The following are desirable: A current: Electrical Fitter Mechanic licence. QBCC Occupational licence - Inspect and Test Emergency Lighting, or the ability to obtain within 3 months of commencement. Experience as a tradesperson in a health facility will be well regarded.
