Description About the role: As a Senior Accountant in our Business Advisory team, you’ll work across a diverse range of clients and industries, focusing on strategic tax advice, compliance, and accounting services. You will be responsible for reviewing the work of junior team members, maintaining financial accuracy for clients, and identifying opportunities that help them achieve their business goals. Prepare and review income tax returns for individuals, trusts, and companies. Produce dividend/trust distribution, rental property, and business summaries. Handle preparation and lodgment of BAS, IAS, and FBT returns. Maintain accurate financial records by compiling, analyzing, verifying, and reconciling transactions. Prepare financial statements for investment trusts, trading trusts, investment companies, and trading companies. Develop and maintain GST reconciliations and working papers. Compile Div 7A / UPE loan summaries, including interest and repayment calculations. Manage client correspondence with the ATO (e.g. lodgment extensions, interest/penalty remissions). Assist clients with indirect tax matters, such as GST, FBT, Payroll, and Stamp Duty. Prepare detailed and accurate tax planning strategies for clients. Skills And Experiences Qualifications, Experience & Skills: Bachelor of Commerce or Business, majoring in Accounting or Finance. CAANZ Chartered Accountant qualified or CPA Certified. Minimum of 3 years of public practice experience in a similar role. Proficiency in MYOB, Xero, and QuickBooks. Knowledge of data analysis software such as Power BI or Tableau (desirable). Intermediate skills in MS Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy when dealing with competing priorities. Problem-solver with a data-driven approach to creating practical solutions. Clear and concise communicator, able to explain complex concepts.
