Electrical Site Engineer – SSTOM Project About Us: The Parklife Metro consortium, in partnership with the NSW Government, is delivering one of Western Sydney’s most transformative infrastructure projects as part of the Sydney Metro – Western Sydney Airport line . Our consortium—featuring Plenary, RATP Dev, Siemens, and Webuild —is delivering this once-in-a-generation project under the Stations, Systems, Trains, Operations and Maintenance (SSTOM) package. This includes six new stations, a stabling and maintenance facility, rail systems, and a fleet of driverless trains. The Opportunity: Employed under Webuild , we are seeking a skilled Electrical Site Engineer to join our site delivery team across the stations. You will play a key role in supervising and coordinating the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment. This is a hands-on role ensuring that works are completed safely, efficiently, and to the highest technical standards. This role is ideal for an experienced site-based electrical professional who thrives in a fast-paced environment and wants to contribute directly to a major infrastructure project. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and coordinate daily electrical construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications, project standards, and safety requirements. Supervise and monitor subcontractors to ensure work is delivered on time, within scope, and to the required quality. Review and implement electrical method statements, ITPs, RFIs, NCRs, and work packs. Ensure installation, testing, and commissioning activities are carried out in accordance with project plans and relevant standards. Support the QA/QC process by maintaining accurate site records, inspections, and reporting. Identify, escalate, and resolve technical issues proactively in coordination with design and engineering teams. Ensure all electrical works comply with environmental, health, and safety regulations. Collaborate closely with MEP, civil, and systems teams to support smooth integration across disciplines. About You: Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering or relevant trade/technical background with proven site experience. Previous experience as an Electrical Site Engineer or in a similar role on large-scale infrastructure or rail projects. Strong understanding of electrical systems, installation methodologies, and relevant Australian standards. Proven ability to supervise and coordinate site activities effectively. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Commitment to safety , quality , and collaboration .
