Job Description: Details of the Division and Team: You will play a key role in the transformation of Rates and Credit Fixed Income technology landscape. As part of our multi-year platform modernisation project, you will be responsible for building a suite of new, real-time, high-performance applications supporting various trading workflows. You will be involved in building solutions across the stack and working closely with Business stakeholders to build a maintainable, operationally efficient and scalable platform to last the next decade. Drive Full-Stack Solution Design – collaborate with engineers across the stack to design and deliver end-to-end solutions. Engage Directly with Business Stakeholders to gather requirements, understand workflows and rapidly deliver impactful features that improve business efficiency Your skills and experience: Solid Core Java Skills – Good understanding of Java fundamentals, including object-oriented programming, collections, exception handling and concurrency programming. Experience with reactive programming models is a plus. Distributed Systems and Event-Driven Architecture – Experience with microservice concepts and frameworks, including event-driven architectures, with a desire to build deeper expertise. Integration, API Development and Databases – Experience in designing, building and deploying RESTful and event-driven APIs, with foundational knowledge of SQL and relational database design, plus exposure to containerization tools like Docker and orchestration platforms like Kubernetes. Appreciation of Front-End Technologies – Awareness of UI constraints and experience with React and Typescript is a plus.
