The Role This is a hands-on, career-building opportunity to support the establishment and operation of a new potato cropping enterprise near Katherine. Reporting to the Farm Manager, you’ll play a key role in crop production, machinery operation, leading field activities, and assisting with the future development of the farm with a clear succession path to lead the site in the future. Key Responsibilities include: Assist in developing and delivering crop production plans Support crop planting, harvesting, and irrigation activities Operate and maintain farm equipment, irrigation systems and infrastructure Supervise future staff and contribute to building a positive team culture Ensure compliance with relevant produce quality standards and food safety Lead farming operations in the Farm Manager’s absence About You Our ideal candidate is an adaptable, committed, and capable farm operator ready to take the next step in their career. With a long-term view and adaptability to regional life, you’re ready to take on responsibility and eventually step into a management role.
