About Kids' Early Learning Here at Council, we own and operate a childcare business, Kids’ Early Learning, with a portfolio of 31 childcare centres and over 40 family daycare educators. About the opportunity We are currently seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our team as a Casual Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) Transport Assistant across various centres. As a Transport Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable transportation of children attending OSHC programs. This includes both daily school transfers and vacation care excursions. Key responsibilities include: Safely transport children from OSHC centres to neighbouring schools before school care, and return the vehicle to the centre Collect children from schools and transport them to OSHC centres for after school care, ensuring timely and secure travel Drive children to and from excursion destinations during NSW public school holidays as part of vacation care programs Conduct thorough pre-drive and post-drive vehicle safety checks Provide exceptional customer service through friendly, respectful, and supportive interactions with children, families, and staff. Qualifications and experience Essential: New South Wales (NSW) Light Rigid (LR) licence to drive motor vehicles with a gross vehicle mass (GVM) of between 4,500 to 8,000 kilograms NSW C class driving licence Solid experience driving with a LR licence Evidence of a good driving record (Service NSW) Working with Children Check (WWCC). Remuneration and benefits The salary and conditions of employment are in accordance with Blacktown City Council’s Enterprise Agreement.
