Spatial Services' integrated framework connects the people of NSW to a comprehensive package of land and property services including property information, surveying and mapping. Spatial Services' provides land information services to individuals, businesses, government agencies and non-profit organisations throughout NSW, Australia and internationally. The Emergency Information Coordination Unit (EICU) is a Supporting Agency under the State Emergency Management Plan (EMPLAN) as a single coordination point for spatial data and intelligence across the NSW emergency management sector. This includes being the lead agency to ensure that the emergency management sector has the most reliable, informed, and up-to-date intelligence to deal with all phases of emergencies and major events – facilitating situational awareness and informed decision-making through coordination of geospatial data and intelligence. Further information about the EICU: https://www.spatial.nsw.gov.au/what_we_do/emergency_management About the role: As a Data Enablement O fficer EICU, you will coordinate the acqusition of spatial data to support Emergency Service Organisations, as well as emergency planning, preparedness, response, and recovery; major events, and community planning. Through establishing formal Data Sharing Agreements (DSA) with data custodian s you will support the data sourcing and processing that enables the EICU’s Spatial Services' Emergency Services Spatial Information Library (ESSIL) , as well as the Spatial Services Portals . This role will also support the delivery of spatial data , provide specialist technical advice to stakeholders and assi s t in emergency information coordinati on during emergency events. The ideal candidate will have: Demonstrated stakeholder engagement experience regarding spatial data use. Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the use of GIS data and software. Familiarity with one or more of the following platforms: ESRI products including ArcMap, ArcPro , AGOL, and/or Enterprise Portals JIRA ETL platforms such as FME Please note: The ability to attain a Negative Vetting 1 (NV1) (SECRET) level security clearance is a requirement for the role.
