CURATING ORIGINALITY TAKES TALENT W Sydney is now casting for a Purchasing & Loading Dock Supervisor to support the delivery and receiving operations for W Sydney and Ribbon building tenants. This role maintains hotel-wide inventory and stores, manages loading dock traffic, and ensures smooth logistics operations. Reporting to the Purchasing Manager, the Supervisor provides hands-on support to all departments and ensures operational excellence. Talent Profile Core Responsibilities Customer Service Excellence : Deliver services that exceed expectations, aligned with W and Marriott brand standards. Professional Conduct : Serve as a role model for appropriate behavior and grooming standards. Business Knowledge : Understand Marriott culture, hotel products, room types, rates, F&B outlets, and guest facilities. Communication : Share information effectively with supervisors, peers, and team members via phone, email, and in person. Team Supervision : Support daily operations and assist in overseeing team performance and task execution. Motivation & Guidance : Encourage and guide team members to meet performance standards. Training Support : Assist in coaching and developing team members, supporting training initiatives and development plans. Safety & Compliance : Promote and monitor adherence to Occupational Health and Safety and Security policies. Policy Adherence : Uphold LSOPs including Anti-Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, EEO, and Fair Treatment policies. Ethical Standards : Act with integrity, fairness, respect, honesty, and trust in line with Marriott’s Business Ethics. Confidentiality : Follow Marriott’s Information Protection Policy and maintain confidentiality. Flexibility : Perform other reasonable tasks as requested by management. Physical Requirements Ability to bend, twist, pull, stoop, and reach overhead or below the knees. Lift, carry, push, and pull items up to 25KG without assistance. Navigate stairs, ramps, and uneven/slippery surfaces. Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or entire shifts. Equipment Operation Safely operate forklifts and pallet jacks in accordance with regulations. Manage removal and storage of pallets, cardboard, and waste materials.
