About the Role This is newly created role melds advanced financial responsibilities with transformation focused delivery. As a Senior Corporate Accountant, you’ll manage traditional accounting deliverables, includes financial analysis, reporting, forecasting, while driving system improvements, supporting a demerger initiative, and facilitating the transition to a new finance and operational system. Key Responsibilities System Improvement & Efficiency Critically assess current financial systems and processes; propose and implement improvements to enhance accuracy, compliance, and efficiency. Demerger Accounting Support Participate in financial aspects of the demerger: asset/liability separation, compliance with accounting standards , and tax considerations. System Migration & Transition Support Serve as a core functional participant in system migration: planning, testing, implementation, and post-go-live review. Prepare documentation and training materials; support adoption through knowledge sharing and hands-on assistance. Cross-functional Collaboration Work closely with finance teams, IT, auditors, and other stakeholders to ensure data integrity and process continuity. Analytical & Reporting Excellence Conduct in-depth financial analysis, including budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and profitability insights. Prepare and present management reporting clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders. Perform month-end closing activities including GL reconciliations, intercompany settlements, tax/GST compliance, COGS and revenue analysis across multiple entities. Perform daily finance operations including payments, transaction monitoring, system error handling, and audit support in a multi-entity environment. Qualifications & Requirements Education & Accreditation Education: Bachelor’s degree or above in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field Certification: CA or CPA qualification is essential Experience Experience: 5 years in senior accounting/FP&A level with experience in management reporting, and variance analysis; retail industry experience is preferred but not required Technical Capabilities Experience with ERP systems is highly desirable Strong proficiency in management reporting and variance analysis Advanced Excel skills and experience with financial modelling Familiarity with BI tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) for data visualization and reporting Soft Skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills Ability to present complex financial data to both finance and non-finance stakeholders Ability to adapt to changes in business structure and responsibilities Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
