As part of our ongoing growth strategy, we’re looking for a Tax and Compliance Accountant to join our Australasian operations—primarily in Australia, Papua New Guinea, and Indonesia —as part of a global organisation. This is a hands-on role offering exposure to international tax compliance, financial reporting, and advisory work in a high-performing team that values collaboration, continuous learning, and diverse perspectives. What You’ll Be Empowered to do You’ll work closely with internal stakeholders, our Global Tax Director, external advisors, and country representatives to: Prepare and review corporate income tax returns and related obligations (GST/VAT, FBT, withholding taxes, state taxes). Support tax return preparation for KCB Canada and Australia through transactional analysis and reconciliations. Deliver accurate and timely tax reporting and internal schedules. Interpret tax legislation and apply it to KCB’s transactions and decisions. Maintain and update transfer pricing and governance documentation. Assist with ATO and other tax authority engagements. Manage tax obligations across Australia, PNG, Indonesia, and other jurisdictions. Provide advisory support to the business on compliance matters. Review and improve tax systems, processes, and controls. Prepare working papers for financial statements and ensure timely corporate filings (ASIC and international). About You You’re a detail-oriented, proactive professional who thrives in a collaborative environment. You bring: A degree in Accounting, Commerce, or a related field. CPA or CA qualification (or near completion). Strong technical knowledge of Australian taxation. Experience with PNG and Indonesian tax systems (highly regarded). Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite. Excellent communication and time management skills. A collaborative mindset and ability to work independently.
