Description Overview of role: At Coliban Water, we deliver essential water and wastewater services to over 180,000 customers across 49 communities. We’re seeking a skilled and passionate Wastewater Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of our wastewater treatment and reuse services. This is a pivotal leadership role that ensures operational excellence, environmental compliance, and continuous improvement across our wastewater network. What You’ll Do Lead the operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants and reuse sites Ensure compliance with environmental and safety regulations Manage operational risks and respond to incidents effectively Provide site-based leadership to a team of 2-4 staff Drive innovation and continuous improvement in wastewater operations Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders including regulators and contractors Support strategic projects such as the Bendigo Groundwater interim solution What You’ll Bring Tertiary qualifications in engineering, science, or a related discipline Extensive experience in wastewater treatment and reuse operations Proven leadership and team management skills Strong understanding of asset management and maintenance principles Ability to manage risk and make sound decisions under pressure Excellent interpersonal and communication skills A current Victorian Driver’s Licence and Australian working rights Sound like you? Learn more in the position description Salary: The salary and conditions for this position will be as per the Coliban Water Enterprise Agreement 2021 Band 5 $115,162 - $131,623 superannuation salary range will be offered to the successful candidate commensurate with their skills and experience.
