The role will comprise of: Triage and respond to medical emergencies Practice Nurses' Duties such as Spirometry ECG ABI Screening Audiometry Sterilization Wound care Liaising with doctors Childhood Immunization Cold Chain management Recalling patients for preventative health and health monitoring activities Conducting Health Assessments and Care Plans in a General Practice setting Assisting with minor procedures Stock Control and ordering Any other duties expected from a RN in a General Practice Setting. (Experience in the above is preferable) Essential Selection Criteria: - Prior experience within Practice Nursing - Full AHPRA Registration as a Registered Nurse - COVID vaccination training - Excellent communication and customer service - Knowledge of General Practice Accreditation and Legislative requirements - High level computer skills - Demonstrated ability to work independently - Documented commitment to professional development - Excellent oral and written communication skills - Knowledge of infection control and cold chain management in a General Practice setting - Experience with Best Practice (ideal) - Experience with Medicare claiming - Ability to work within a team of multidisciplinary staff - Great time management skills - Police clearance and child related employment screening - A team player - Willing to take direction - Professional manner & presentation - Able to multi-task and work under pressure - Strong communication and interpersonal skills - Excellent organizational skills The following to be recognized: Current First Aid & CPR certificate Immunization Status Evidence of continuing professional development Medical Indemnity
