Description As a Foster Care Case Manager , you will play a critical role in the lives of children and families involved in the foster care system. Your primary responsibility will be to provide support, advocacy, and guidance to ensure the well-being and safety of children placed in foster care while working collaboratively with birth families, foster carers, and relevant agencies. This position demands a compassionate, organised, and adaptable individual dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable children. Skills And Experiences Essential role-specific skills, knowledge and experience A tertiary qualification in social work, community services or social science or other relevant post-secondary studies. Demonstrated experience in working with children and/or adolescents. Highly developed assessment skills, capacity to apply a range of intervention strategies, effective problem-solving skills, highly developed interpersonal skills. Good working knowledge of child and adolescent development theory and practice. Working knowledge of the out-of-home care and child protection legislation and systems. Experience in working collaboratively with other professionals, government and non- government agencies and services. Highly desirable role-specific skills, knowledge and experience Case management experience.
