Work in a small manufacturing team Ongoing Temp – Perm role $33 per hour super with no overtime expectations About Us Based in Carrum Downs, this small business manufacturers industrial, commercial, residential and architectural garage doors. The successful candidates’ main duties will be to assist production with assembling a variety of garage doors to ensure that all deadlines and production expectations are successful met. This is an ongoing casual role working Monday to Friday 38-hour week with a transition to full time employment after a successful 4-months. Monday to Friday 7am – 3.30pm Tasks & Responsibilities Working with timber, aluminum, and composite materials Measure, cut, and prepare door panels, frames, and components to precise architectural specifications Assemble sectional, tilt, or custom architectural garage doors using hand and power tools Install reinforcing brackets, hinges, rollers, and tension systems according to technical drawings Operate tools such as drills, rivet guns, saws, and presses for fabrication and fitting Measure, cut, and install external cladding (for example aluminum composite, timber battens, Colorbond, zincalume, or custom architectural panels) Apply sealants, insulation, or finishing trims for weatherproofing and presentation Support onsite installation activities when required, assisting experienced team members and gaining hands-on practical experience with garage door installations Experience & Qualifications Experience with assembling in manufacturing building products Analytical, mechanical, and practical skills are valued Strong young fit and ability to work in a team environment Ideally the suitable candidates will have recent experience with the assembly of products in a manufacturing environment.
