Client Brightside Recruitment is currently working with a large not for profit organisation that works across Victoria, providing support service within the child, youth and family sector. Role This newly created role will provide 24/7 services to clients experiencing family violence. As part of this team you will provide short term crisis intervention to clients in the Northern Victoria region. The responsibilities of this role include; Providing interventions and short-term case management to victim survivors, including children, experiencing and/or escaping family violence. Promoting and delivering person-centred, strengths-based approaches that preserve and respect diversity, equality, choice and client participation. Possessing an in-depth understanding of the gendered nature of family violence, intersectionality in family violence, and the nature, dynamics and impact of family violence across a broad range of familial relationships. Working within the Multi-Agency Risk Assessment and Management (MARAM), the Family Violence Information Sharing Scheme (FVISS) and the Child Information Sharing Scheme (CISS) and all other relevant frameworks and guidelines to manage risk and hold persons using violence accountable. Criteria Minimum Bachelor level qualification in Social Work or equivalency met through the 7 Equivalency Principles in line with the minimum mandatory qualification requirements (refer https://www.vic.gov.au/mandatory-minimum-qualificationsspecialist-family-violence-practitioners for further information). Evidenced understanding of professional client interaction and case planning principles that demonstrate accountability and responsibility. High level understanding of issues and needs impacting clients who present for support, including clients at risk of homelessness, clients who may be experiencing financial hardship, victim survivors, or clients who present with a disability or other identified barrier/s to equitable access. Evidenced ability to provide holistic responses to address complex needs. Proven ability to manage program plans, performance and resources. Proven experience and capability in managing conflict and addressing challenging behaviours.
