The Opportunity We’re seeking a passionate and skilled Specialist Family Violence Practitioner to join the team in Goulburn South. In this role, you’ll provide trauma-informed and person-centred support to women and children experiencing family violence. You’ll work collaboratively with partner agencies to deliver holistic, integrated responses that prioritise safety, recovery, and empowerment. Key responsibilities include: Conducting risk assessments and safety planning aligned with MARAM and FVISS frameworks Providing crisis response, advocacy, and ongoing case management Coordinating services with external partners and community organisations Supporting access to emergency accommodation and essential resources Participating in an after-hours on-call roster when required About You A Bachelor qualification in Social Work or equivalent under the Mandatory Minimum Qualification Requirements for Specialist Family Violence Practitioners Demonstrated experience in family violence, crisis intervention, or related community services Strong understanding of trauma-informed practice, risk assessment, and relevant Victorian frameworks Excellent communication, advocacy, and stakeholder engagement skills Ability to manage complex caseloads with professionalism and empathy A current Victorian driver’s licence, Working with Children Check, and clear police check This is a female-only position , as permitted under Section 28 of the Equal Opportunity Act 2010 (Vic).
