What We Are Looking For: The Global Audit, Tax & Compliance Manager ensures Airlock’s financial reporting, statutory compliance, and tax obligations are completed accurately and within required timeframes across all operating jurisdictions. This role provides technical leadership in audit, accounting policy, and tax matters, strengthening the Group’s control environment, governance processes, and readiness for continued international growth. Key Responsibilities: Lead the annual statutory audit process for the consolidated group, ensuring timely completion and clean audit outcomes. Prepare and review financial statements for statutory and audit purposes, ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local regulations. Manage preparation of audit schedules, supporting documentation, and technical accounting papers. Coordinate with external auditors and advisors, ensuring queries are resolved efficiently and consistently across entities. Maintain Group tax policies and ensure consistent application across jurisdictions. Oversee preparation and lodgement of all direct and indirect tax returns, including Income Tax, GST, FBT, Sales & Use Tax, and Withholding Tax. Coordinate R&D tax incentive claims and related accounting entries. Manage tax forecasting, including tax effect accounting, DTAs/DTLs, and transfer pricing documentation. Lead creation and maintenance of internal tax risk management policies and procedures, and ensure compliance with ATO and IRS requirements. Drive continuous improvement in tax systems, processes, and controls, including automation opportunities and improved audit trails. Maintain company registrations and statutory filings across all jurisdictions (ASIC and relevant US states). Manage the register of US states of operation, ensuring registration and compliance for Sales/Use Tax, State Annual Reports, and Income Tax. Coordinate regulatory submissions such as BAS (Australia) and equivalents in other regions as operations expand. Support corporate insurance renewals by coordinating required financial and operational data. Establish and maintain a strong governance framework for tax and compliance, ensuring clear documentation, version control, and auditability. Partner with the Financial Controller and CFO to identify and mitigate financial, tax, and compliance risks. Develop and maintain internal technical accounting guidance and compliance checklists to support accuracy and control. Collaborate with the Finance Manager to ensure operational accounting processes align with audit and tax requirements. Act as the primary point of contact for external tax advisors. Communicate proactively with internal stakeholders on compliance timelines, accounting updates, and emerging requirements. Support the Financial Controller and CFO in preparation of Board and other reporting packs, ensuring compliance-related disclosures are accurate and well-documented. Required Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in accounting or tax (required) CA/CPA qualified (or equivalent international accreditation). 5 years’ experience in financial reporting, audit, and tax compliance, ideally across multiple jurisdictions. Demonstrated experience managing external audits and preparing statutory accounts for private entities. Strong technical accounting and tax knowledge, particularly within SaaS or high-growth, multi-entity environments. Experience with accounting systems (Xero, NetSuite, or similar) and tax compliance tools (e.g., Avalara). Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and communicate complex matters clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
