(HP4) 4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading 12.75% employer contribution to superannuation Professional development allowance and leave Plus great Salary Sacrificing options About your opportunity The Townsville University Hospital Psychology Service provides clinical, health, and neuropsychology services to adult and paediatric inpatients and outpatients across Townsville University Hospital and the broader North Queensland region. The Senior Paediatric Psychologist plays a pivotal role in delivering frontline clinical care to neonatal, paediatric intensive care, and general paediatric wards. The role also encompasses outpatient paediatric services and active participation in several multidisciplinary teams, most notably, supporting the audiology team in caring for cochlear implant outpatients. Key responsibilities include: Conducting psychological assessments, formulations, and interventions. Providing high-level clinical psychological consultation, assessment, and treatment across neonatal and paediatric services for patients and families within the Townsville Hospital and Health Services (THHS). Performing clinical and psychometric assessments across the lifespan, including the Bayley-4 and Leiter-3 for relevant cochlear implant patients. Collaborating within multidisciplinary teams to deliver advanced clinical care and improve outcomes for young people admitted to Townsville University Hospital and those engaged with the Cochlear Implant Service. Contributing at an advanced level to the development and implementation of best-practice models of care for children's services, and engaging in psychological research within the health service.
