About your role: Participation in Cairns and Hinterland Mental Health multidisciplinary teams by taking appropriate clinical responsibility for patients and working with team clinicians to ensure good team function. Delivery of education and training to junior CHMHAODS medical staff, medical students, other mental health clinicians and non-mental health trained clinicians. Positive promotion of the specialty of psychiatry by performing the role in a professional manner and engaging consumers, carers, other non-mental health clinicians and non-government service providers in active communication about patient care. Maintenance of personal clinical and professional knowledge and skills by participating in appropriate continuing professional development programs and educational opportunities.
