Your new role: As the Director Support Officer, you'll deliver a broad range of administrative and secretarial services, ensuring efficient communication, workflow, and coordination within the Gastroenterology Department. You'll manage scheduling, correspondence, and documentation while maintaining professionalism and confidentiality at all times. Key responsibilities include:  Provide administrative and secretarial support to the Director and departmental staff.  Coordinate appointments, manage diaries, and arrange meetings, travel and conferences.  Screen and prioritise incoming calls, correspondence and visitors with discretion and tact.  Prepare high-quality letters, memos, minutes and departmental reports.  Maintain office systems, records and databases to ensure smooth daily operations.  Act as the key contact for all departmental communication and liaison with internal and external stakeholders.  Contribute to departmental projects and initiatives that improve administrative efficiency.  Support a culture of safety, respect and continuous improvement across the unit. About you: You're a confident, professional communicator who thrives in a fast-paced healthcare environment. You bring initiative, attention to detail and strong organisational skills, along with the ability to manage multiple priorities with discretion and diplomacy. You'll bring:  Proven administrative or secretarial experience supporting senior leaders in a busy environment.  Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a professional and courteous manner.  Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office and database systems, with accurate data entry and record management skills.
