Machine Operators - Ongoing Casual with Temp to Perm Opportunities Our client, a leader in the steel manufacturing industry, is currently seeking Machine Operators to join their high-performing team in an ongoing casual role with Temp to Perm opportunities. About the Role As a Machine Operator, you'll work as part of a collaborative team within a large-scale manufacturing operation, helping deliver reliable and efficient production. You'll be working on a 12-hour rotating Day/Night shift roster , contributing to daily KPIs and operational goals while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality are maintained. Key Responsibilities Operate overhead cranes and forklifts Use hand and power tools for routine operations and maintenance Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Assist with mechanical maintenance tasks Participate in process improvement initiatives Adhere to all safety protocols and champion safety-first behaviors Deliver consistent, high-quality output aligned with production targets Work independently and manage tasks to align with shift and production requirements What We're Looking For To be successful, you'll bring a strong mechanical aptitude, a can-do attitude, and a passion for safety and efficiency. You will ideally have experience in a continuous manufacturing or safety-critical environment and be comfortable with physical work in a fast-paced setting. Essential Criteria Previous experience in manufacturing, steel, or construction industries Forklift license Crane operation experience (preferred) Strong mechanical aptitude; previous experience as a Trades Assistant highly regarded Ability to work 12-hour rotating shifts and flexible to work overtime as needed Physically fit - able to pass a pre-employment medical assessment Basic computer literacy Ability to work autonomously and take initiative Good understanding of production processes and ability to plan work accordingly Control room experience (desirable) What's in it for You?
