About the role South West Healthcare's (SWH) Mental Health Inpatient Services delivers best practice nursing care within a recovery-oriented model, providing 24/7 support through comprehensive assessment and clinical planning. Our inpatient services are closely integrated with our Mental Health Community Teams and the Prevention and Recovery Centre, ensuring excellence in care across the broader South West region of Victoria. We are seeking an experienced Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) or Registered Psychiatric Nurse (RPN) looking to take the next step in their career. In this leadership role, you will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to conduct assessments, lead shifts, and oversee individualised care planning for consumers. You will also contribute to clinical leadership and help foster a high-quality care environment by actively engaging in quality improvement initiatives. Position overview Employment Type: Part-time (48 hours per fortnight), On-going position Location: Warrnambool Campus Classification: Registered Psychiatric Nurse Grade 3/ANUM Year 1 or Year 2 Salary Range: $108,435.60 - $112,091.20 pro rata, plus superannuation What you bring Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse, with a postgraduate diploma in Mental Health Nursing. Extensive experience in delivering a broad range of psychiatric services across inpatient and/or community settings. Demonstrated leadership capability, including experience as a preceptor and supervising staff. Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong consumer-focused approach. Sound knowledge of contemporary mental health legislation, regulations, and policy directions. Confidence and competence in using clinical and administrative IT systems, with a willingness to support others in their use. A proactive, flexible, and resilient approach, with high attention to detail and initiative.
