The Instructional Specialist is an exemplary classroom practitioner and a member of the school senior leadership team. The Instructional Specialist is responsible for leading school wide teaching and learning initiatives, supporting teachers to deliver a high quality reformed curriculum, transforming pedagogical practice and ensuring excellent student outcomes. The Instructional Specialist - Coordinator 3 is a promotional role, temporary for up to 3 years, however, your classroom teaching position (1 FTE) will remain full-time, and permanent. Your promotional role will entail 0.4FTE release time and will be to model classroom practitioner excellence, improve learning outcomes and bring about change in the instruction of teachers K-6. At the conclusion of the 3 year term of contract you will return to your 1.0FTE permanent teaching role at the school.
