About the role This role works jointly and collaboratively with lawyers to support to clients with complex social and legal needs in family law or care and protection matters to achieve the best possible outcome. This includes goal setting, capacity building, support attending Court, safety planning, and assistance to access government and non-government services. The role also provides clinical expertise to address the socio-legal needs of disadvantaged clients, including victims of domestic and family violence, people experiencing mental health challenges and people with complex trauma histories. About you The ideal candidate will have: a proven ability to build and maintain strong collaborative interdisciplinary relationships to enhance service delivery to clients experience in casework or case management role/s and experience working with adults facing disadvantage commitment to improving outcomes for clients navigating challenging legal and personal circumstances strong interpersonal skills to build relationships with clients sound social science knowledge and a commitment to understanding the legal system to offer informed consultations that contribute meaningfully to legal strategy confidence in managing their own workload to enable them to work autonomously as the sole applied professional within our team of lawyers Experience working with culturally and linguistically diverse clients would be particularly desirable.
