About the role We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant or Supervisor to join our Business Advisory team in our Brisbane CBD office. This is a pivotal role within an established portfolio, offering the opportunity to work closely with a range of sophisticated groups and long-standing clients. You’ll take ownership of client engagements, manage workflow, and deliver high-quality compliance and advisory outcomes. You’ll gain hands-on experience with complex group structures, ATO reviews, and advisory projects, working closely with experienced Managers and Partners., You’ll oversee day-to-day workflow, review work prepared by team members, and contribute to business growth through strong client relationships and identifying new opportunities. Key Responsibilities Manage and review accounting, tax and business advisory work to ensure accuracy, quality and timeliness. Lead client relationships with professionalism and responsiveness, becoming a key point of contact. Supervise and mentor Accountants and Graduates, supporting their technical and professional growth. Oversee workflow planning and allocation to meet client deadlines and achieve budgeted targets. Support Managers and Partners in delivering tailored business and taxation strategies to clients. Contribute to ATO audit and review engagements, including preparation of supporting documentation and responses. Identify opportunities to broaden the scope of client services and strengthen relationships. Contribute to process improvement and uphold the firm’s System of Quality Management (SOQM) standards. Promote a culture of excellence, teamwork, and accountability. About you: You’re a proactive and detail-oriented professional who enjoys working directly with clients. You will bring: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Commerce or Business. CA/CPA qualification (completed or near completion). Minimum 3 years’ experience in public practice accounting Strong technical knowledge across compliance, tax legislation and business structures. Experience managing workflow and mentoring junior team members. Excellent communication and relationship-building skills. Proficiency with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software.
