About the role This role supports the Finance Business Manager to provide financial performance related services for specific business areas across West Moreton Health (WMH) and can be rotated across different areas of the business periodically. This role supports financial leadership and provides advice and business analysis in matters relating to all financial, service costing, system development and funding models. This role also provides periodic financial management and performance reporting support by negotiating, managing, and maintaining the budgetary, activity and financial plan for these services to maximise the ability to deliver services within the funding constraints approved by Queensland Health. About you Our ideal candidate will be someone who can demonstrate the following: Ability to support the Finance Business Manager in providing required financial information and advice to senior management on all financial management issues within a large and complex organisation. Ability in the maintenance of budgets, monitoring of performance and reporting on key performance indicators in a complex and diverse operating environment. Advanced analytical skills (including benchmarking) of a service's cost and the identification of effective strategies to deliver greater efficiencies. Ability to appraise projects and business improvement initiatives based on the strategic framework of the business area. Proven expertise in developing and maintaining required financial models for funding and reporting. High level communication and interpersonal skills. Advanced level skills in the application of computerised information systems to enable the development of meaningful reports and the collation and analysis of information, including Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, General Ledger & Business Warehousing systems.
