We are currently seeking an experienced Vineyard Operator to join our team. Anvers estate is nestled on a family-owned property near Kangarilla, at the Southern end of the Adelaide Hills. Our uniquely North facing 16 hectare vineyard sits at an elevation of 350 metres above sea level. Varieties include Shiraz, Chardonnay, Sauvignon Blanc, Gamay, Barbera, Pinot Gris, Pinot Noir and Gewurztraminer. Anvers is proud to be a certified member of Sustainable Winegrowing Australia. Being Adelaide Hills centric with a commitment to growing premium grape varieties and a view to make climate and region-appropriate wines from our low yielding estate. Key Duties & Responsibilities - Operating and maintaining vineyard machinery including tractors, sprayers and other equipment with an emphasis on routine preventative maintenance. - Co-ordinate and actively support a range of vineyard operations including but not limited to: o Pruning o Slashing o Canopy management o Sweep and mulching o Harvest preparation - Manage scheduling, maintenance and repairs of vineyard irrigation systems. - Monitoring vine health and implement sustainable viticultural practices including pest and disease control strategies. - Supervise vineyard contractors, ensuring all work meets quality and compliance standards. - Leading adherence to WH&S procedures and ensuring all tasks undertaken by all workers are conducted in line with company procedures and industry best practice. Essential skills and Qualifications - Minimum 5yrs practical experience in vineyard operations, demonstrating comprehensive hands-on expertise - Valid Forklift licence - Valid driver’s licence - Current Pest Technicians Licence or Chemical Accreditation - Proven ability to lead teams and working collaboratively during peak periods - Strong time management and organisational skills - Excellent communication skills - Willingness and flexibility to work a rotating roster during harvest, including shift work as required Applications close 10th October 2025
