We are seeking a talented and passionate Technical Director – Climate Risk & Resilience to join our growing team. This role is a fantastic opportunity for you to work in a senior technical capacity within the Sustainability Advisory team. You will play an active role in growing our climate risk and resilience offering and seek new opportunities across GHD’s 5 sectors of Water, Transportation, Property & Buildings, Environment and Energy & Resources. This will be achieved by working closely with clients who seek to manage regulatory obligations and climate risks and by drawing on the GHD experience and global network to solve the critical challenges inherent to these complex requirements. Location is flexible and the role can reside in Adelaide, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, or Perth. Working with a high performing team, this position offers a variety of work and will see you involved in: Leading the development and implementation of climate risk and adaptation strategies and plans Managing and successfully delivering a variety of complex, yet exciting, projects for our diverse clients Building, developing and enhancing client relationships, both existing and in new growth areas Proactively identifying new opportunities, converting these into proposals and closing sales Contributing to high performing teams and the GHD strategic direction to drive delivery excellence Developing our next generation of leaders Representing GHD at key conferences and events to grow our brand and position for opportunities What would you bring to the team? Formal qualifications in an environmental engineering, science degree or similar; or appropriate transferrable skills Significant experience in the development and implementation of climate risk and adaptation strategies in the key markets we serve Strong knowledge of climate science and data and climate-related disclosure requirements A focus on business development, client service and delivery Strong organisational and problem-solving skills together with the capacity to be flexible and adaptable Excellent writing and presentation skills and the demonstrated capacity to produce high quality content for a range of audiences and mediums Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to influence and negotiate Ability to work independently Sound judgement and decisiveness Interested?
