By providing continual support in daily living tasks, you’ll contribute to a safe, home-like environment that upholds residents’ comfort, independence and dignity. With care and compassion, you will: Provide personal care, including assistance with showering, grooming and dressing Support residents with daily living tasks, such as eating, general cleaning and social activities Collaborate with fellow healthcare team members to ensure individual care plans are followed Make progress notes and communicate any changes in residents’ health status Nurture friendly, empathetic and professional relationships with residents and their families We have a range of shifts available, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts, and we’re offering permanent part-time positions. Additionally, we’re particularly seeking candidates with availability on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, especially if they’re interested in a casual role. Desired Skills and Experience What you'll bring You’re a compassionate, empathetic and resilient person who deeply respects and seeks to enhance the wellbeing and dignity of older people. Your excellent care and interpersonal skills will facilitate our residents’ comfort and privacy, and you respect their individual preferences, values and beliefs. A Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing) or equivalent Experience providing personal care in a residential aged care home (either paid work or placement hours) A National Police Check (or willingness to obtain one) Preferably 3 x COVID-19 vaccinations Annual influenza vaccination Current First Aid and CPR accreditation Ideally, you will also have: Availability to work three days a week or more Ability to comply with safe work practices and food-safe handling practices Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English A reliable vehicle with current driver’s licence Don’t have all the above?
