MENTAL HEALTH OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST About the Role To work collaboratively as a multi-disciplinary team member to provide effective evidence-based practice that best meets the needs of patients (either child and youth or adult) other designated mental health programs. Provide clinical skills, support, and education to patients to ensure the provision of best practice and quality patient care. Maintain best practice standards by seeking regular professional clinical supervision. Provide written and verbal information patients regarding their rights, responsibilities and the mental health services complaints and compliments process. Participate in the identification, development and implementation of quality and service improvement activities that enhance the delivery of mental health services within the local service area. To actively participate in prevention, promotion and early intervention activities within the community that are aimed at children & youth at high risk of mental health issues. Essential Skills & Qualifications Fully AHPRA Registration (OT, Psych, SW) Must have a strong background working in Community Mental Health working with adults and/or children The ability to obtain all appropriate probity checks in an urgent manner (NPC, Working with Venerable People, WWC) Experience and passion working with regional communities is a must About the Company Join one of the leading Mental Health care service providers in Tasmania, servicing mostly across the northeast and northwest side of Tasmania.
