Business Development Coordinator We have an exciting opportunity for a driven individual to join our team as a Business Development Coordinator (BDC). As a BDC, you will act as a foundational support for our sales function and Regional Development Managers (RDMs). You will support the growth and success of World Challenge by identifying and developing new business opportunities, coordinating initiatives that expand our reach and impact on the school travel market. Key Responsibilities As a key member of our growing sales team, a BDC’s focus is to accelerate lead generation and streamline foundational sales activities to support our RDMs. This will be done primarily through high-volume inputs (calls and emails) aimed at booking in sales visits with new prospects. Multi-channel Prospecting and Lead Generation Identify and research potential client schools in the Expedition and Curriculum Market. Generate new leads through a range of multi-channel outreach activities, including calling, email campaigns, and social media engagement. Data Enrichment and Management Proactively gather, update, and enrich prospect data in HubSpot to ensure accuracy and completeness. This includes actively researching and verifying contact information for key decision-makers within Australian schools. Mine existing databases and online resources to identify new potential leads and contacts. Maintain data integrity. Sales Visit Scheduling Proactively contact prospects via phone and email to introduce World Challenge and qualify them for sales visits. Schedule and confirm sales visits for the sales team. Maintain a high volume of outbound calls and emails to consistently generate sales visit opportunities. Pipeline Follow-up and Management Take ownership of the follow-up process for select pipeline deals to ensure consistent communication with clients. Gather necessary information from clients and assist in helping deals move through the sales stages promptly. CRM Input and Reporting Accurately and consistently log all sales activity, including calls, emails, and meetings in HubSpot. Diligently update the CRM with the latest information on pipeline stage, deal value, and confidence rating to ensure data accuracy. Generate weekly reports on key performance indicators, such as call volume, emails sent, and sales visits booked. Contract and Proposal Support Assist RDMs with the preparation and distribution of standard contracts, proposals, and other sales-related documents, as required. Communication and Collaboration Communicate effectively with the sales team to ensure smooth handover of qualified leads. Collaborate with marketing to align on lead generation strategies and campaigns. Marketing and Campaign Support Assist with the execution of targeted email campaigns and other marketing activities designed to generate new leads. Key Skills Required Confident, tenacious, and ambitious. A desire to develop a successful career within sales A keen interest and understanding of the value and benefits of World Challenge/Educational trips to students. Target driven and strong desire to develop, progress and generate leads. Ability to convince and appeal to a wide range of stakeholders, including Key Decision Makers, Teachers, Parents, and Students. Well-developed persuasion and negotiation skills to ensure all possible sales leads are generated effectively. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a friendly and professional manner and ability to build great relationships. Ability to present confidently and fluently when needed. Experience utilising generative AI tools to create content and communications. Experience of using a CRM is beneficial (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
