We’re proud to be delivering the Queensland Train Manufacturing Program (QTMP), and we’re looking for the best people to help make it happen. QTMP involves the design, manufacture and maintenance of 65 new six-car passenger trains to support Cross River Rail and the 2032 Brisbane Olympic and Paralympic Games. These trains will be built at a new, purpose-built facility in Torbanlea on the Fraser Coast. This is your chance to be part of an industry leading, world class project. The role at a glance This hands-on role is essential to the smooth operation of the production line, working closely with qualified tradespeople to ensure efficient and safe assembly processes. Please note this role is located in Torbanlea, Queensland. Key Responsibilities: Assist tradespeople with a variety of mechanical and electrical assembly tasks Prepare materials, tools, and components for daily production activities Set up, maintain, and clean work areas to support a safe and organised workspace Operate a range of equipment including overhead cranes, forklifts, vehicle shifters, and shunters Support maintenance activities and assist with the operation of equipment related to facility assets and infrastructure About you Ability to work unsupervised and within a team environment.
