Location - Osborne, SA Security Clearance - Australian Citizens with NV1 Clearance Length of Contract - 20 months Closing Date - 29th October 2025 Key Responsibilities: Support the Quality Assurance Manager in the development, implementation and review quality assurance and governance procedures, practices and frameworks. Plan, prepare and coordinate the conduct of audits, surveillance and perform quality assurance auditing on ship upgrade/construction programs and maintain a real-time corporate reporting of the activities. Develop content for Technical Directorate plans and process across multiple projects in consultation with technical experts. Interpret verbal and written technical content to draft in a way that is appropriate for the intended audience. Collaborate with various stakeholders to facilitate discussions and manage technical issues using software tools (JIRA, TRMS etc). Develop Build Assurance schedule in Microsoft Project in consultation with the team. Develop strong stakeholder engagements and sustain effective relationships with team members, management and stakeholders. Analyse and suggest improvements to quality assurance policies and procedures to ensure appropriate performance against best practice. Assess technical packages, reports, processes, and product and equipment performance to meet specified requirements, identify, and report non- conformances. Key Relationships/ Interactions : The Technical writer is required to have good, positive relationships with Ship building/repair contractors and have strong working relationships with colleagues across different areas. Requirements: A high level of demonstrable experience (10 to 15 years in a technical domain) in either oil and gas, maritime, ship maintenance or Ship building projects. Demonstrable experience in writing Plans and process for publication. Desktop drafting and publishing skills especially in MS Word, PDF format. Experience in CAD software especially AutoCAD would be added advantage for the role. Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor communication style and language according to the audience's level of knowledge, skill and experience. Mandatory Qualification and Experience: Minimum AQF level 6 qualifications e.g. Advanced Diploma, associate degree or equivalent qualification with an engineering background. Understanding of quality practices and principles in accordance with ISO 9001.
