About the Role: As the Assistant Store Manager, you'll support the Store Manager with the day-to-day running of the store, helping ensure operations run smoothly and efficiently. This is a hands-on leadership role where you'll be responsible for supporting team members, driving service standards, and maintaining a safe and welcoming store environment. Key Responsibilities: Assist in managing daily operations and store performance Lead, train, and mentor team members to ensure high customer service standards Oversee stock control, deliveries, and inventory levels Handle point-of-sale operations and ensure accurate cash handling Resolve customer queries and complaints professionally and promptly Support rostering, shift coverage, and team development Maintain store presentation, cleanliness, and equipment functionality Operate fuel, food, coffee, and lottery equipment as required Uphold safety standards and ensure compliance with WHS policies Take on admin and reporting duties in the Store Manager's absence Lead by example in professionalism, appearance, and team conduct What You'll Bring: A strong customer service focus and the ability to lead by example Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to juggle priorities in a fast-moving environment Confidence in problem-solving and conflict resolution Dependable, professional, and team-oriented Physically capable of being on your feet for long periods Willingness to learn, take initiative, and delegate when needed Why Join Us?
